The opportunity:
As an Accident & Travel Claims Handler, you’ll provide a quality-focused claims service supporting our in-house and Third Party claims teams. You will handle a range of situations, from lost luggage to life-changing illness and injury, working quickly and with empathy to support customers during stressful times.
Our Claims function is the largest department in our UK General Insurance business, ensuring we provide an efficient, professional, and empathetic service.

What will you be doing?
* Promptly handle and resolve enquiries from customers and external contacts to deliver focused claims service.
* Review, resolve, and proactively finalise claims within authority limits, ensuring optimal settlement considering business implications.
* Maximise productivity and profitability within the team.
* Contribute to a positive and supportive team culture.
Who are we looking for?
Ideally, you will have:
* Experience in Retail Travel, Business Travel, or Personal Accident claims (desirable).
* Ability to deliver excellent customer service.
* Skills in identifying insights and trends in claims handling decisions.
* Ability to work as part of a team and manage varying workloads and pressures.
* Effective negotiation skills.
* Numeracy, literacy, and IT skills, with knowledge of MS Office.
* Experience in general insurance or progressing towards CII qualification.
