Role
Client Success Specialist – Payroll team.
Purpose
Act as a primary point of contact for UK payroll clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and engagement.
Responsibilities
* Act as a primary point of contact for UK payroll clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and engagement.
* Review, validate and manage payroll data between all stakeholders (clients, offshore & onshore teams) ensuring timely and accurate payroll runs.
* Address and resolve all client queries or complaints in a timely manner.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with clients by understanding their payroll needs and offering tailored solutions.
* Identify key points to discuss with colleagues and clients, and offer practical solutions.
* Host or attend client meetings on a monthly/quarterly basis to develop and strengthen client relations and gain exposure to client interactions.
* Track client success metrics such as accuracy, timeliness, and feedback.
* Identify process improvements and recommend best practices to enhance payroll efficiencies.
* Undertake a key role in each assignment, expand knowledge and manage work processes from planning to completion, with limited guidance.
* Demonstrate ability to take instruction and deliver specific pieces of work to colleagues for quality review.
* Apply financial discipline regarding costs and deliver operational efficiency regarding time.
* Demonstrate knowledge of services offered by the department and the firm, and identify areas where the firm could assist clients.
* Understand professional ethics and the firm’s methods and standards of work and their impact on business advisory role.
* Contribute to marketing campaigns, including social media.
* Undertake professional training and/or work towards a professional qualification, achieving first‑time passes in any tests or exams.
* Maintain regular communication and build strong working relationships with offshore payroll processing teams to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll.
* Address any issues or discrepancies in payroll data, providing clarification and support where possible, or escalating to the appropriate onshore management when necessary.
Qualifications
* Strong understanding of UK payroll legislation and pension schemes.
* Experience working to tight deadlines.
* Experience handling a client portfolio with strong engagement.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills with client‑centric approach.
* Ability to troubleshoot payroll escalations and provide clear and effective solutions.
* Experience working in a payroll bureau.
