The Role
The Health and Safety Advisor position is a key part of our commitment to maintaining the highest standards of workplace safety and compliance. This role involves developing and implementing health and safety policies, conducting risk assessments, and promoting a culture of safety across all levels of our organisation.
Key Responsibilities
* Formulating and enforcing health and safety policies and procedures.
* Conducted and reported on H&S audits in line with ISO standards, ensuring actions were completed and collaborating with audit providers and the leadership team for action evaluation and completion guidance.
* Performing risk assessments and suggesting preventive measures.
* Examining equipment and machinery for unsafe conditions.
* Investigating accidents to identify causes and manage claims.
* Advising on improvements or new prevention measures.
* Reporting on health and safety awareness, issues, and statistics.
* Delivering health and safety training throughout the organisation.
About You
* Relevant health and safety qualifications (NEBOSH General or equivalent).
* Experience in a health and safety advisory role, preferably in manufacturing or engineering.
* Knowledgeable about UK health and safety laws and practices.
* Skilled in writing health and safety reports and policies.
* Competent in data analysis and statistical reporting.
* Excellent communication and training skills.
* Attention to detail and a proactive approach to workplace safety.
