We’re hiring a Credit Controller to join a friendly, fast-paced finance team based in Newstead Village, Nottinghamshire.
This is an entry-level opportunity – ideal for someone with at least 12 months’ experience in credit control. You'll be trained, supported, and genuinely valued. If you've got more than 3 years’ experience in credit control, this one probably isn't for you.
What You’ll Be Doing:
1. Chasing outstanding payments via phone and email (around 1,000 accounts/month)
2. Allocating incoming payments (BACS, card, cheque)
3. Emailing invoices and monthly statements
4. Managing pro-forma invoices and following up
5. Keeping accurate financial records
6. Liaising with Sales, Customer Service, and Invoicing teams
7. Handling inbound customer enquiries professionally
8. Using Sage, SagePay, CRM, and internal systems
What We’re Looking For:
9. Around 1 year’s experience in credit control
10. Strong written and verbal communication skills
11. Good working knowledge of Outlook (Excel is a bonus!)
12. Confident on the phone, comfortable with numbers
13. Detail-focused and highly organised
14. Motivated, proactive, and ready to learn
