Due to a huge increase in work, our client, a leading producer of flat-rolled aluminium products and the world's largest recycler of aluminium, is looking to recruit and add a number of experienced Process Operator to their dedicated & committed team.
The ideal candidate will be working as part of a team in a busy production facility, and the main responsibilities will include:
* Operation of plant and equipment to recycle scrap aluminium into sheet ingot, where main duties include driving forklift trucks, working with overhead cranes and scrap and molten aluminium
* Assembling and weighing scrap mixes for charges; charging scrap to furnaces; metal sampling, analysis and compositional control; furnace cleaning; molten metal transfer; molten metal casting; ingot movement / identification; quality checks.
* Unloading scrap from vehicles; scrap quality checks; assembling scrap mixes; feeding the shredder; molten metal sampling, analysis and compositional control; furnace cleaning; molten metal transfer; molten metal casting; ingot movement / identification; quality checks; ingot despatch
Working within either of the two foundries, the role will include basic maintenance work along with operating the following equipment:
1. Fork Lift Trucks from 3t - 16t.
2. JCB bucket
