Pont Bakery is a bakery on the Wyle Cop, Shrewsbury, specialising in the production of viennoiserie and a wider range of pastry, breads and confectionery items, served with coffee.
We are looking to expand our team and recruiting for a part-time barista who is passionate about hospitality and offering a high-standard of service, even in a small, fast-paced takeaway setting.
Working hours will be within Responsibilities to include but are not limited to:
* Offering excellent customer service
* Good barista skills - a flair for making great coffee and other drinks, efficiently without losing quality
* Ability to dial-in and close down coffee machine
* Greeting and serving customers from the counter
* Learning about our products and having a good knowledge of them
* Working the till and taking card payments, completing end of day cash reports for management
* Completing end of day close downs, including cleaning, restocking, organising and resetting for the next days
* Keeping the counter clean, tidy, and stocked throughout the day, communicating so with the chefs when necessary
* General washing up duties
* Maintaining a high standard of food hygiene and safety, quality and productivity.
* Qualities we are looking for:
* Experience making speciality coffee of at least 1 year is preferred
* Strong interest in pastry and coffee
* Confidence working in a fast-paced, open environment
* Strong initiative and ownership
* Good communication skills
* Friendly, positive and honest
* Works well under own supervision
* Punctual, motivated, organised, tidy
* Well presented
