Level 2 Teaching Assistant – Secondary School (Kirkham) Full-time | Immediate Start | Minimum 6 Weeks We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join a supportive secondary school in Kirkham (PR4). This is a full-time role working with a Year 8 pupil with ASD, starting as soon as possible for a minimum of 6 weeks. Key Responsibilities: Provide tailored 1:1 support to a Year 8 pupil with ASD, ensuring they are engaged and supported in their learning. Work alongside the class teacher and SENCO to implement personalised strategies. Promote independence, confidence, and positive learning behaviours. Support the pupil’s social and emotional development in both classroom and wider school settings. Requirements: Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent). Previous experience supporting pupils with SEND, ideally ASD. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Patience, resilience, and a nurturing approach.
