Job Overview
Teaching Quality Assurance Lead
Location: London Office/Hybrid or Home-Based.
Salary: £35k-£38k FTE (dependent on experience). This is a part-time role (3-4 days per week) and the salary will be pro-rated accordingly.
Reporting to: Programmes Manager
Contract type: 12 Months Fixed-Term (Maternity Cover), Term Time only.
What is the role?
The quality of our service is extremely important for safeguarding the students we support. We are therefore looking for a Quality Assurance Lead with a good understanding of best teaching practice and an eye for detail. You will oversee the quality and compliance of tutor session delivery and reporting. You will work with the wider team to encourage best practice and ensure we deliver continued excellent service to our students and client partners.

* A qualified teacher with a comprehensive understanding of the UK curriculum
* Experience of observing teachers, delivering feedback, and supporting teaching and pedagogical development
* A good knowledge of our business vision and values, and the key stakeholders we work with

* Impeccable written and verbal communication skills
* A proactive, solution-focused approach, driving and demonstrating best practices
* Ability to prioritise effectively in order to meet short term and long term deadlines

* Knowledgeable of safeguarding requirements and best practice in handling sensitive data and issues
* Experience in analysing the effectiveness of education initiatives
* Data analysis skills
Roles And Responsibilities
As the Quality Assurance Lead, you will:
* Act as a subject matter expert for quality assurance queries within the team
* Manage an observation schedule that ensures tutors are observed within the required timeframes, and providing technical support to ensure tutors can comply with the observation requirements
* Working closely with the Tutor Experience team to feedback on lesson observation and advise on training and CPD resources for individual tutors and the wider community
* Conduct quality assurance checks of session reports, with a particular focus on new tutors or those requiring developmental support.
* Work with the Tutor Experience team to feedback to tutors on quality of session reports and improvement required
* Assist tutors in clearly identifying national curriculum levels in their assessments and teaching materials (linked to research identifying that tuition is most successful when linked to the student’s curriculum)
* Explore the potential for a standardised assessment process for tutors to use with students to improve our academic progress measures
