We are looking for a caring and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive team. You will work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to provide tailored support for pupils with special educational needs, helping them to thrive both academically and socially. Beginning September 2025. Duties as SEN Teaching Assistant Provide 1:1 or small group support to pupils with a range of special educational needs, including learning difficulties, autism, ADHD or SEMH. Support pupils in accessing the curriculum and adapting learning materials as needed. Assist with the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour support plans. Promote pupils’ independence, confidence and social interaction. Record and report on pupils’ progress and development. Support the safeguarding and welfare of all pupils. Work collaboratively with teachers, the SENCO and other professionals. Ideal SEN Teaching Assistant: Previous experience working with children with special educational needs (in a school or similar setting). A caring, patient and flexible approach. Good communication and teamwork skills as a SEN Teaching Assistant. An understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
