Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for: providing strategic financial advice and challenge to budget holders across the organisation, supporting resource management and internal financial control and governance preparation of monthly budget monitoring and forecast reports identifying, investigating and supporting the reduction of cost pressures and savings opportunities supporting the production of the medium-term financial plan and annual budget setting process supporting the production of the annual statement of accounts and external audit. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual, with experience of business partnering – someone with a can-do attitude and analytical skills, able to articulate financial information to a range of stakeholders. Whist an understanding of local government finance would be an advantage, it is not essential. If you are not currently fully qualified but actively studying, we provide opportunities to continue a funded CCAB qualification.
