Students at the school will have speech and language delay, impairments or disorder, along with Autistic Spectrum Conditions and/ or moderate and severe learning. Your role of teaching Assistant will be a support to both students and tutors, ensuring their learning needs are met with a positive attitude. You must show confidence and be an excellent role model to pupils, in addition to being flexible to follow instructions from peers. About the role: You will be offering general classroom and 1:1 support to students in Key stage 3 and 4. This is a crucial part of their education as it is the transition into GCSE and further education, apprenticeships, college etc. We are looking for a TA who is mature, confident and passionate about providing the best possible support to students with a special educational need. The hours of work will be 8:30 am - 4:30 pm, during term times. You will be working with pupils in Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, which is entry level for GCSE. This is a supply position, where you can be on standby to cover staff absence, which means you can work flexibly. There would be an opportunity to develop into a permanent position in the school if you can demonstrate to be an excellent addition to the team.
