Overview
Senior Youth Worker (Youth Voice and Influence). JNC Professional Range 22 – 25 - £38,757 to £41,755. Permanent, working 36.5 hours per week. You will be based at Maypole Youth Centre but will have a city wide brief. Birmingham City Council is seeking a dedicated Senior Youth Worker to join Birmingham Youth Service, Children and Families Directorate.
In this pivotal role, you will support the delivery of youth voice across the service and the wider Directorate with a focus on Children in Care. If you are a proactive leader with a commitment to improving the youth voice for young people, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities
* Ensure the implementation of systems across Birmingham Youth Service and the delivery of high-quality youth work to our young people.
* Work collaboratively with other Senior Youth Workers and stakeholders to promote creative partnerships and improve outcomes for young people.
* Contribute to planning and performance management across the delivery team and inspire and motivate the best provision to young people.
Qualifications and experience
* Educated to degree level in Youth Work with a JNC qualification.
* Significant experience in managing and leading staff in youth work delivery.
* Strong understanding of relevant policies, practices, and national frameworks; excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to manage conflicting demands and work under pressure.

* Salary: £38,757 to £41,755 (JNC Professional Range 22 – 25).
