Objectives / Scope
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Apprentice Draftsperson to join our dynamic engineering team. The successful candidate will receive hands-on training and mentorship while working with Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, and Vault to create and manage technical drawings and designs. Main Responsibilities
* Assist in the creation of technical drawings: Support drafters/engineers in producing detailed 2D and 3D drawings using Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD software.
* Update and revise drawings: Make modifications to existing designs based on feedback from engineers and clients.
* Maintain drawing files: Organize and manage files using Autodesk Vault, ensuring all documentation is up-to-date and easily accessible.
* Collaborate with the design team: Work closely with engineers and other draftspersons to ensure designs meet project specifications and standards.
* Learn and adhere to company standards: Follow established drafting standards and protocols to ensure consistency and quality across all projects.
* Participate in training programs: Engage in ongoing learning and development opportunities to enhance drafting skills and software proficiency.
* Support project documentation: Assist in preparing documentation and reports as required by project leads.
Education
Skills Base
* High school diploma or equivalent (required)
* Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a technical school or associate degree program in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or a related field (preferred)
Technical Skills
* Basic knowledge of Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, and Vault (required)
* Understanding of drafting principles and techniques
Soft Skills
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy
* Good communication and teamwork abilities
* Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced team members
* Ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple tasks
