Capital City College is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and skilled Media Studies Lecturer to join our dynamic London-based team in Soho, London.
About the Role
The Lecturer will support learners to achieve their goals, deliver high‑quality teaching, contribute to curriculum development and provide academic and pastoral guidance. This position is part‑time on an hourly basis, with two part‑time FTE positions available.
Responsibilities
 * Deliver engaging Media Studies lessons aligned with UAL Level 3 Diploma standards.
 * Develop and assess learning materials and assessments.
 * Support students through academic and pastoral guidance, acting as a personal tutor for a group of learners.
 * Use media production equipment including Mac Edit suites, DSLR cameras, green‑screen studio and lighting.
 * Collaborate with colleagues, share best practice and promote a learner‑focused culture.
Qualifications
 * Proven experience teaching Media Studies.
 * Strong knowledge of film, TV and VFX.
 * Excellent communication, organisational and classroom management skills.
 * A commitment to inclusive, learner‑focused teaching.
 * Teaching qualification recognised by a university or willingness to achieve one.
 * Confidence in delivering to a diverse range of learners.
