Quantum Scholars are working closely with a University Technical College in Essex who are currently seeking an experienced Design and Technology Teacher to join them in September 2025. This will be a full-time, permanent position.
The school hiring are based in Essex. It is a school that focuses purely on years 10 - 13. They specialise in Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths. They're rated as a "Good" school overall.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver high-quality and engaging Design and Technology lessons to students across Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5.
* Develop and implement creative and innovative teaching methods to engage students in the subject.
* Support the delivery of the curriculum and ensure that lessons are aligned with the school's educational goals and standards.
* Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and support to help them succeed.
* Contribute to the development of the school's extra-curricular activities related to Design and Technology.
* Work collaboratively with other teaching staff and participate in school-wide initiatives.
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Design Technology teacher, ideally in a secondary school setting.
* A strong understanding of the Design and Technology curriculum, with the ability to teach across a variety of topics and projects.
* Passion for the subject and a commitment to helping students achieve their full potential.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
* Must be available for a September 2025!
