We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated person to manage YorHome, a socially responsible private sector letting agency for people that are homeless or at risk of homelessness, including refugees.
The Role Includes The Following
* To source accommodation through the private rented sector to help the council meet its targets for preventing/relieving homelessness and for housing refugees.
* To manage a socially responsible agency to let private sector property for refugees accommodated through any refugee programmes that the council is working with and seeking to house via the Home Office
* To continually develop the agency and portfolio through working with landlords to increase our portfolio.
* To work with Housing Associations to manage properties identified by those who wish to use YorHome as their letting agent.
Due to the nature of the role the post holder will need to be very flexible and empathetic in their approach and to have an imaginative and practical attitude towards problem solving.
This is a hugely rewarding and varied role. Due to the nature of the service workload can change and an immediate response may be required to address an emergency situation or meet an urgent need. Therefore candidates must able to prioritise their own workload and work under pressure.
The role includes a mixture of community and office based working.

Hybrid working arrangements are available for this role. Each role at CYC is different and your working arrangements will be determined based on the requirements of the role and in collaboration with you and your needs as part of the recruitment process. Your contractual location will be the designated council office for your team.
