SEND 1:1 Teaching Assistants - Primary (Mainstream) Location: Croydon, South LondonContract Types: Full-time & Part-time (Monday-Friday commitment)Start Dates: January 2026 onwards Are you passionate about making a real difference to children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)?Tradewind is working closely with a range of mainstream primary schools across the London Borough of Croydon who are seeking dedicated 1:1 SEND Teaching Assistants to support pupils with mild to moderate learning needs, including ASD, ADHD, speech and language needs, and SEMH. This is a rewarding opportunity to support individual pupils to access learning, build confidence, and thrive within a mainstream classroom environment. The Role: Provide 1:1 tailored support for pupils with SEND throughout the school day Support learning, emotional regulation, and social development Work alongside class teachers and SENCOs to implement EHCP targets and support plans Adapt learning resources to meet individual needs Promote a positive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment The Ideal Candidate: Holds at least a Level 1 Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2 or 3 desirable) Has previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, ideally within SEND or inclusion Confident supporting pupils with additional needs in a mainstream primary setting Patient, empathetic, and committed to pupil progress and wellbeing Holds an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply) Available Monday to Friday (part-time roles still require weekday availability) Why Work with Tradewind?
