What You'll Do:
* Routine and cyclic maintenance activities.
* Minor civil works.
* Drainage works.
* Carriageway patching.
* Maintain high technical standards.
* Attend project and work briefings as required.
* Drive/operate vehicles/plant requiring general and specialist skills, including vehicle checks, routine maintenance (e.g., oil and water checks), and cleaning.
* Perform all aspects of highway maintenance works including routine and cyclic maintenance, minor civils works, litter picking, etc.
* Winter maintenance operations.
* Emergency call-out operations.
* Ensure safety of yourself and others, complying with health and safety legislation and safe operation to protect the public.
* Carry out vehicle checks before shifts and correctly fill in defect books.
* Record driver hours.
* Allocate and capture time and resource utilization according to the operational system.
* Keep records, complete necessary paperwork, and liaise with employees, subcontractors, emergency services, police, the public, clients, and customers.
