Spire Cardiff Hospital are pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for an experienced and compassionate Healthcare Assistant to join our Pre‑Assessment team on a bank contract. Duties and responsibilities:
Under the supervision of qualified nursing staff, you will support the delivery of a high‑quality and comprehensive nursing service to all patients, ensuring excellent standards of care are maintained at all times within a clean and safe environment. Key responsibilities include:
1. Assisting the clinical team in the provision of exemplary patient care
2. Undertaking routine tasks related to patients’ health and wellbeing
3. Supporting and monitoring patients, escalating concerns where appropriate
4. Identifying and reporting any significant changes in a patient’s condition to the relevant clinician
5. Assisting with the safe movement and positioning of patients in line with hospital policies
6. Carrying out clinical duties including ECGs, phlebotomy, clinical observations, and basic nursing care
7. Undertaking any other duties appropriate to the role and level of responsibility
Who we're looking for:
8. Previous experience working as a Healthcare Assistant (or equivalent) within a clinical environment
9. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient‑focused approach
10. NVQ Level 3 in Healthcare (desirable)
11. Proven experience in ECGs, phlebotomy, clinical observations, and basic nursing care (essential)
Contract:- Bank
Working Hours:- Monday -Friday 08:00 - 16:00
