Hours: 22 hours per week (2x 11-hour shifts) on a 3-week rolling rota

About the role:
Neath Port Talbot Council is looking for someone to join our fantastic Trem y Glyn Residential/Reablement Care Home. The home offers the flexibility of Reablement support and permanent care for those that can no longer live at home. Our ethos is to be family orientated, professional, hard-working individual led and fun. A happy atmosphere is promoted by our management team as this adds to the home environment.
As a Night Supervisor you will be responsible for managing the home, the building & all elements of health & safety by night in the absence of managers. You will be required to carry out supervisions & appraisals with staff members. A basic knowledge of IT is essential to complete the necessary paperwork, such as care planning. It is also vital to have a good knowledge of General Data Protection Regulations & understand the importance of maintaining professional boundaries. You must be motivated, possess good leadership skills & be able to provide strong support to the management team.
About You:
If you would like to be part of this team you will need to have some experience of caring for individuals a can-do approach and excellent communication skills. Your empathy and warm-hearted approach will shine through, but above all, you will have the compassion needed to deliver the highest standard of care and support for our individuals. In return we will provide all the training you will need to thrive, including helping you to work towards a Level 3 qualification in Care. If you already have this qualification, we would love to hear from you. We will also help you register with Social Care Wales.
