IT Procurement Manager

Job Description:
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced procurement professional to join a high-performing commercial team on a contract basis. You will play a key role in sourcing IT services, hardware, software, and SaaS solutions, managing renewals, and delivering strategic procurement plans that drive value and cost savings.
This role will suit a commercially astute specialist with proven experience in IT procurement and strong stakeholder management skills.
The successful candidate will take responsibility for sourcing the supply of IT Services, Hardware, Software (and support renewals) and SaaS (Cloud). The role requires compliance with all internal policies and procedures as well as external legislation, including UK Procurement Legislation where applicable.
The role involves working with Tier 1 technology partners and collaborating with Category Managers and the business to develop both standard and complex contracting and sourcing strategies. A key focus will be ensuring the lowest total cost of ownership and robust contractual provisions to mitigate risks in contract delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
* Source IT services, hardware, software, SaaS (cloud) and manage support renewals.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to design and deliver sourcing and contracting strategies.
* Ensure compliance with procurement processes and relevant legislation.
* Support supplier relationship management and performance management activities.
* Deliver efficiencies in sourcing and procurement processes.
* Lead software and support renewals, preparing and delivering strategic renewal plans to optimise commercial value and deliver cost savings.
Key Skills and Experience:
* Proven track record in IT procurement and sourcing.
* Strong experience with Tier 1 technology suppliers.
* Knowledge of UK Procurement Legislation.
* Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
* Experience in supplier relationship and performance management.
* Ability to prepare and deliver strategic renewal plans.
