Position Details
* Role: KS2 Behaviour Support Mentor
* Location: Stanford-le-Hope, Essex
* Start Date: September 2025
* Salary: £88-105 per day (paid weekly)
* Contract: Long-term with potential for permanent employment
* Training & Support: Provided
* Additional Opportunities: School's direct Teacher Training from August 2026
Responsibilities
The mentor will support children facing social, emotional, and mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, and behavioural disorders like ODD. The ideal candidate is patient, kind, dedicated, and passionate about helping children overcome these difficulties. Building personal relationships with students is essential, and training will be provided to assist in this role.
Candidate Profile
This position is ideal for psychology or criminology graduates eager to gain practical experience, or experienced TAs/LSAs looking to deepen their understanding of SEN/SEMH needs. Candidates should have UK school experience or relevant child-related qualifications and a genuine desire to support children's academic and emotional development.
