Purpose
Established in 1986, City in the Community is the registered charity of Manchester City and exists to empower healthier lives through football. Our programmes focus on physical and mental wellbeing, creating healthy futures and communities.
The Community Outreach Officer – Kicks will coordinate the daily delivery of the Premier League Kicks programme across Manchester, working closely with community partners and local authorities.
Accountabilities
* Manage a team of coaches to deliver inclusive weekly Kicks sessions engaging diverse participants.
* Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, local authorities, funders, and partners to enhance engagement through football, youth work, and multi-sports.
* Report on outcomes and KPIs to funders, maintaining strong relationships.
* Ensure quality assurance of the Kicks programme, including venue management, session review, and data collection for reporting.
* Review team performance regularly, providing feedback and training opportunities to improve delivery standards.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
* Understanding of City in the Community Foundation, its projects, and strategy.
* Experience in coaching community-based youth sports programmes.
* Proven ability to liaise with community organizations, government departments, and funders.
* Management experience.
* Experience in a brand environment, representing a Premier League club.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Creative, passionate, resilient, and adaptable.
* Strong team-working skills.
* GCSEs in English, Maths, and Science.
* Full clean driver’s license.
* Degree-level education.
* Coaching Level 2 qualification in another sport.
* Knowledge of Youth Work theories and practices.
* Experience with Premier League Charitable Fund programmes and KPIs.
* Budget management and reporting skills.
* Experience delivering CPD sessions.
