Main duties of the job
You will be supported by a collaborative, multidisciplinary team. You will work alongside GPs, Advanced Nurse Practitioners, and our dedicated practice nurse team, with additional support from skilled managerial, dispensing, reception, and administrative staff.
As a Practice Nurse, you will provide high‑quality care to patients, utilising your experience in General Practice Nursing, minor illness, and chronic disease management.
Key Responsibilities
* Cervical screening
* Contraception reviews and family planning
* Chronic disease management
* Dementia reviews
* Health promotion and disease management
Candidates must have experience in these areas to be considered.
Person Specification
Experience
* Good understanding of QOF, Enhanced Services and CQC, NICE guidelines.
* Good IT, organisational, communication and clinical skills.
* Experience of working within a nursing team essential.
* Experience of working in primary care desirable.
* Experience of working in a GP practice desirable.
Qualifications
* Qualified Nurse – registered with NMC.
* Qualified in:
* Cervical Cytology, Routine Immunisation Schedules, Targeted Childhood Vaccination Schedules, Family Planning Advice, Contraception Reviews, Travel Health Advice and Vaccination, Chronic Disease Management, Health Promotion and Disease Prevention, Dementia Reviews, Cancer Care Reviews.
