Street Care Operative
Basingstoke & Deane Borough Council, requires an experienced person to undertake Street Cleansing and grounds maintenance duties within the district of Hart.
Clean and well-maintained open spaces and residential areas are important to the council and residents, and you will help to ensure that our street cleansing and grounds maintenance services continue to meet expectations.
Based at our Springwell Lane depot, you will undertake a variety of tasks which include
1. Litter collection
2. Sweeping
3. Emptying of litterbins
4. Collection of fly tipped waste
5. Grass cutting
6. Formal and informal Shrub bed maintenance.
7. Hedge cutting
8. Weed management
9. Operating, maintaining and cleaning grounds maintenance and horticultural equipment, including hand tools, strimmers, hedge-cutters, pedestrian and ride on mowers, and any other machinery required to undertake allocated tasks.
10. Compliance with safety and all relevant legislation, in particular the control of Vibration at Works Regulations 2005 and PUWER Regulations 1998.
As a Steet Care Operative you need to have a full and clean UK driving licence.
Joining our Operations Team, we require you to be flexible as staff may asked to provide cover in other teams or areas.
