We’re recruiting a detail?oriented and proactive Payroll Specialist to join a centralised payroll team on a 6 month FTC. Working as part of a small, supportive team, you’ll deliver accurate, end to end in house payroll services across eight UK payrolls, ensuring full statutory compliance and supporting continuous improvement across the function.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver end to end monthly payroll processing for multiple UK payrolls
* Calculate employee pay, including statutory payments and adjustments
* Manage pension submissions
* Prepare and submit RTI returns and ensure ongoing HMRC compliance
* Submit employee payments via NatWest
* Produce and distribute payslips, P45s and statutory reports (P11D, PSA)
* Ensure payroll deadlines are consistently met
* Maintain and update payroll and Time & Attendance systems
* Respond professionally to payroll queries and resolve discrepancies
* Maintain accurate employee payroll records
* Complete statutory and third-party reporting
* Work closely with HR and Finance to ensure smooth payroll operations
* Support internal and external audits and regular payroll reviews
Skills, Experience & Attributes
* Proven experience within UK payroll administration, ideally in a shared service or multi?payroll environment
* Strong working knowledge of UK payroll legislation and statutory compliance
* Confident using payroll systems, T&A software and Microsoft Excel
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines
* Discreet, trustworthy and confident handling sensitive information

* Office hours: Monday–Thursday 8:00–16:30, Friday 8:00–13:00
