Extrusion setter

Role : Extrusion Setter
Location : Coventry
Duration : 12 months
Rate : £21.72/hour PAYE
Purpose
To inspect a variety of product within the Thermal Value Stream to confirm conformance and control any non-conformance through relevant procedure.
Key responsibilities
Setting and operating Hydraulic presses for extrusion and part pierce
Setting and operating Heat treatment furnaces
End of shift clean down and adherence to 5S standard
Raising of Safety Concerns where identified (including Product Safety Concerns)
Key Requirements
Apprentice engineering or relevant experience.
An engineering apprenticeship is desirable, although training will be given.
1 year's similar experience in an engineering manufacturing facility.
Ability to read and interpret Engineering drawings.
Ability to operate various inspection and test equipment.
Good computer skills are desirable, as is a knowledge of the computer systems used (SAP, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Q-Pulse etc).
Demonstrable ability to work with minimum supervision.
Good oral and written communication skills are required.
