Job Description
We are seeking a Markit (S&P) EDM developer to join our MDM Product team. This is also a unique opportunity for the successful candidate to work with the business area who use the system on a day-to-day basis. We hope that combining your technical skills and developing business area knowledge, will enhance change delivery.
Utilise your technical skills and expertise to play a key role in the team's activities that include all phases of the software development lifecycle. You will work on multiple work-streams and be able to act independently, making decisions, applying analytical judgement and being an active member of the team.
We adopt a DevOps mind-set, and are responsible for the operation of the applications we deliver. Influence the testing and implementation of these components and provide post implementation support. Contribute to technical discussions, influence ways of working, share knowledge and provide technical mentorship to other team members.

What we are looking for
* Experience with developing in Markit EDM (version 11.5 upwards)
* Proficiency in SQL and the use of SQL Server
* Experience of tools supporting the development and version control process, for example JIRA/Confluence, GIT, Azure DevOps - e.g. release pipelines, automation etc
* Experience of Business Analysis skills in converting business requirements into technical solutions
* Problem solving techniques, debugging scripts and writing stored procedures
* Understanding of Markit EDM and Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) development concepts
* Understanding of Markit EDM Matcher, Load and Export, EDM UI
* Experience creating user interfaces and error validation routines in Markit EDM
* Understanding of batch scheduling system usage and implementation concepts
* Understanding of MSBI stack - SSIS, SSRS, SSAS
* A dedication to continuously learn new skills and apply this in relation to design, development, test and support activities
* A team member who takes pride in the work they deliver and their contribution to the team
* Experience of using Control-M tool
* Experience of using Powershell (scripting languages)
* Familiarity with data warehouse design and usage
* Understanding of data modelling and logical / physical database design
* Understanding of financial instruments, particularly Fixed Income Bonds

Salary and Benefits Information
We encourage flexible working, part time working and job share arrangements. Part time salary and benefits will be on a pro-rated basis as appropriate.
This role offers a salary of:
Leeds from £36,000 - £40,500 (depending on skills & experience)
London from £40,000 -£45,000 (depending on skills & experience)
In addition, we also offer a comprehensive benefits package as detailed below:
* A non-contributory, career average pension giving you a guaranteed retirement benefit of 1/95th of your annual salary for every year worked. There is the option to increase your pension (to 1/50th) or decrease (to 1/120th) in exchange for salary through our flexible benefits programme each year.
* A discretionary performance award based on a current award pool.
* A 8% benefits allowance with the option to take as salary or purchase a wide range of flexible benefits.
* 26 days' annual leave with option to buy up to 12 additional days through flexible benefits.
* Private medical insurance and income protection.
National Security Vetting Process
Employment in this role will be subject to the National Security Vetting clearance process (and typically can take between 6 to 12 weeks post offer) and the passing of additional Bank security checks in accordance with the Bank policy.
