Highways Services re looking for a Structures Assistant Engineer to join their Highway Team. WHAT IS INVOLVED? You will be responsible for providing assistance in a wide range of services within the Structures Design Team. Assisting in the preparation and delivery of cost-effective structural designs including bridges, ensuring compliance with current legislation and standards to internal / external clients and partners within appropriate timescales and budgets. WHAT WILL I NEED? HNC or equivalent in a relevant civil engineering or design related discipline Experience in the design and maintenance of bridges and highways structures in accordance with the relevant standards Experience of computerised design / CAD software packages Demonstrable experience of highway structure inspections and reporting at all levels. Experience of applying sound engineering principles to practical solutions Consultation processes & dealing with customers and other departments Please refer to the attached Person Specification for the full criteria.
