Job Title: Planning Support Officer
Provide professional planning support through expert advice and guidance to colleagues and management across the Service on planning applications, development proposals, and environmental assessment activities. This includes general planning activities delivered by Development Management Services to assist with the promotion, delivery, and integration of key objectives outlined in the Governance Service Plan and the Community Plan.

Position Details
* This is a full-time permanent position based at the Opera House, 8 John Finnie Street, Kilmarnock.
* Working hours are 35 hours per week: 9am-5pm Monday to Thursday, 9am-4pm Friday.
* The workstyle is "Mobile" — approximately 20-49% of the time working remotely or at alternative locations, with 1 to 2.5 days per week at the office.
Salary
The annual salary ranges from £46,173 to £48,958.
Role Overview
The successful candidate will manage a diverse range of development management cases across East Ayrshire, from rural uplands to the more populated Kilmarnock area.
