Job Description:
A large financial organisation is seeking a diligent Business Test Analyst to support the development of business test strategies and test plans. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure the delivery of high-quality testing outcomes that align with business requirements.
Responsibilities
1. Contribute to and support the development of business test strategies and test plans across multiple markets.
2. Demonstrate strong capabilities in functional and business acceptance testing while collaborating effectively with business stakeholders.
3. Translate business requirements and operational workflows into test scenarios and relevant test cases.
4. Define, document, and maintain business test scenarios and test cases in collaboration with business stakeholders, analysts, and product teams.
5. Execute business testing scenarios to ensure compliance with business requirements and specifications.
6. Conduct defect triage meetings with relevant stakeholders to ensure issues are resolved prior to sign-off.
7. Liaise with internal and external teams to communicate requirements and provide support during testing phases.
8. Provide tailored test completion reports at the conclusion of testing phases.
9. Participate in various stages of testing, including user acceptance, client, and production testing.
10. Maintain composure under pressure, meeting deadlines and managing communication in challenging situations.
11. Support automation testing initiatives when required.
Essential Skills
12. Proven experience as a Test Analyst with expertise in payment systems and messaging standards.
13. Strong understanding of user acceptance testing (UAT) processes and methodologies.
14. API Testing
Additional Skills & Qualifications
15. Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
16. ISTQB/ISEB certification in software testing.
17. Minimum of 5 years of experience in software testing within the financial services or payments industry, including at least 2 years in business/UAT testing.
18. In-depth knowledge of cross-border payment systems and standards such as SWIFT MT/MX, FPS, CHAPS, SEPA, ACH, and real-time payment schemes.
19. Experience testing REST and SOAP APIs using tools like Postman.
20. Proficiency in working with JSON and XML formats.
