Job Summary
Gray Healthcare is recruiting a new team of mental health support workers within the Fulwood area of Preston to support a lady in her 40s who has a diagnosis of Paranoid Schizophrenia, Emotionally Unstable Personality Disorder, and Learning Disabilities.
Main duties of the job
To support a lady with a good sense of humor, someone who isn't too serious, and has interests in cooking, bingo, swimming, and outdoor walks.
She will be supported by a mixed gender team on rotating shifts of days and waking nights.
We are recruiting drivers only for this role, as the individual will have a mobility vehicle to access the community.

Job responsibilities
Hours available:
* 36-hour contract with 3 x 12-hour shifts on weekdays and 1 sleep shift (alternating weekends)
* 36-hour contract with 3 x 12-hour waking night shifts per week (alternating weekends)
Induction and training include online modules, in-person training on PROACT-SCIPr-UK, and person-centered training specific to the individual supported. Training is ongoing to support career growth.
Person Specification
Essential experience
* Experience as a Mental Health Support Worker
* Full UK Driving License
* Experience in social care, mental health, supporting individuals with Schizophrenia, complex health needs, Learning Disabilities, and challenging behaviors
* Experience implementing care plans and risk assessments
* Legal right to work in the UK for at least 6 months
* Subject to DBS check and references
Disclosure and Barring Service Check
This role requires an enhanced DBS check due to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975.
