Overview
Mechanical Engineer – Shifts- Days Role (6am-2pm Monday-Friday). £44,000 + 5% Bonus + 10% Pension + 33 Days Holiday. Location - Commutable from Runcorn, Warrington & Chester.
Responsibilities
* Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on a range of production and packaging equipment.
* Involvement in continuous improvement projects and machinery upgrades.
* Working closely with production and engineering teams to identify and implement efficiency improvements.
* Supporting new CAPEX installations and helping to commission new equipment.
* Performing mechanical fault finding, strip-downs, rebuilds, and routine servicing.
* Using your fabrication and welding skills — a competent welder would be a real advantage in this role.

About You
* Time-served or apprentice-trained Mechanical Engineer
* Strong background in mechanical maintenance within a manufacturing environment
* Confident working with pneumatics, conveyors, gearboxes, pumps, and other automated systems
* Welding/fabrication skills are highly desirable
* Positive, proactive attitude with an interest in developing and cross-training
