3 month initial period with possibility for extension
35 hours per week, remote tribunal attendance
Are you a passionate Adult Social Care Solicitor looking to make a real difference? Venn Group is working with a fantastic local authority in London in their search for a Adult Social Care Solicitor on a locum basis for an initial 3-month period, with the potential for extension depending on performance and project needs.
Requirements:
1. Qualified Lawyer, with a valid practising certificate in the UK
2. Specialism within Adult Social Care Law and experience practising this post-qualification
3. Experience advocating complex Adult Social Care cases in court
4. Experience working Education cases, and attending SEN tribunals
5. Experience working within local authorities, or for a public sector organisation
Duties/Responsibilities:
6. Advising the clients of the organisation on all aspects of Adult Social Care Law and providing representation when necessary
7. Advising on areas of Education
8. Attending and advocating complex cases in court
9. Attending virtual education tribunals
10. Advising officers and members in a proactive and sensitive manner
11. Mentoring and training less experienced team members
12. Deputising for heads of legal and other principal lawyers when necessary
