Freedom of Information and Parliamentary Questions Officer
This role is full‑time and permanent. The position will be based at 10 South Colonnade, Canary Wharf London, E14 4PU. MHRA works on a hybrid model with a minimum of 8 days per month on site, up to 12 days depending on business needs.
What’s the role?
As a member of the Customer Experience Centre within the Communications and Engagement group, you will manage Parliamentary Questions (PQs) and Freedom of Information Requests (FOIs). You will coordinate day‑to‑day operations, monitor deadlines, review responses, compile statistics and explore process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and triage PQ and PO requests, including monitoring, logging and tracking.
* Coordinate PQ and PO activity by issuing reminders and chasing leads to meet deadlines.
* Ensure responses are reviewed, signed off and sent on time.
* Compile statistics and identify trends.
* Collaborate with Centre leads and provide draft sensitive replies to News Centre.
* Identify potentially sensitive requests and seek additional handling advice.
* Explore new ways to deliver efficiencies and process improvements.
* Maintain shared tracker and reporting accuracy.

* Ability to follow processes, spot risks and propose improvements.
* Experience leading delivery and influencing cross‑team stakeholders.
* Strong political and parliamentary awareness.
* Analytical skills to interpret data and make decisions with limited information.
* Excellent communication, influencing and relationship‑building skills.
