Responsibilities may include what we expect you to do
A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE
As part of your normal duties, whilst maintaining excellent health and safety practices, you will:
* Co-ordinate and prepare delivery and collection of freight information, ensuring all documentation is processed and completed on time and accurately whilst providing excellent customer service support.
* Co-ordination of collection and delivery of goods.
* Understanding Operational restrictions including management of transportation of sequenced stock and liaising with customer to ensure best possible customer service.
* When required, to ensure flexibility within the department to cover colleague's tasks during times of holidays & absence.
* Investigate routings for the Transport Plan for new or amended customers/destinations.
* Ensuring all administration is up to date and accurate.
What do we need from you?
* Transport experience in a Logistics / Supply Chain environment essential.
* Excellent knowledge of planning principles
* Good critical thinking skills
* Able to communicate at all levels, internally and externally
* IT Literate with knowledge of Excel, Tachomaster & Microlise.
