Job Description
1. £12.31 per hour
2. Location: Ashleigh House, St Luke's Site Armagh
3. 33.5 hours per week
4. Working Pattern – Monday 9am-5pm, Tuesday 9am-4pm, Wednesday 9am-4pm, Thursday 9am-4pm & Friday 9am-4pm (Working Pattern negotiable)
5. Temporary until 28/11/2025
6. Access NI Enhanced Adults Only is required
What you'll be doing in this role:
7. Assist the Adult Protection Gateway Team Manager and Team with the maintenance of an organised and efficient office which will support the key agenda of the local and regional safeguarding issues.
8. Undertake a range of admin support duties including, making appointments, maintaining diaries, receiving, processing and distributing incoming mail, personally dealing with routine items, provision of typing admin support to senior staff in a confidential and appropriate manner and use office systems and software to support the team with data management and reporting.
9. Prioritise workload in accordance with expected outcomes.
10. Deal with routine queries, referring to more senior staff when necessary.
11. Deal with incoming / outgoing mail and ensure that mail is distributed appropriately to relevant staff and in a timely manner.
12. Continually strive to improve quality, standards and procedures within area of responsibility contributing to the ongoing desire to improve delivery of services.
13. Arranging and attending meetings, taking minutes, typing and distribution of same.
14. Assist with the smooth running of a high quality Adult Protection Gateway Team and the above processes.
What you'll need for this role:
15. 4 GCSEs at Grades A-C including English Language or equivalent / higher qualification. AND,
16. 1 years’ experience in a clerical/ administrative role. OR,
17. 2 years’ experience in a clerical/administrative role. AND,
18. Experience in the use of Microsoft Office applications including Excel Spreadsheets, Word and Outlook.
19. OCR / RSA / GCSE Stage 2 Word-processing/Typing (Parts 1 and 2) or equivalent qualification, ORa minimum of six months word-processing experience
20. Hold a full current driving license valid for use in the UK and have access to a car on appointment
21. As part of the reference checking and vetting process for this position you will be requested to undertake an Enhanced AccessNI Disclosure. Having a criminal record will not necessarily be a bar to obtaining a position
