About the role As an Engineering Operative apprentice, you will be working for Cormac Solutions ltd and be fully immersed into the Aggregates and Recycling business area of Cormac. This forms an integral part of the wider Cormac group. This is an apprenticeship post, and you will be learning whilst working gaining a level 2 apprenticeship qualification in Engineering Operative (Maintenance pathway). Please view apprenticeship standard; Engineering operative / Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education Duties include (but are not limited to): Undertaking a limited range of supervised routine manual tasks requiring general practical skills. Responsibility for utilising the appropriate personal protective equipment. Reporting safety incidents including near misses. General practical skills are developing in line with expectations for the role. Ensuring all driver / vehicle records are maintained. To drive / operate vehicles and plant. Performing other duties as from time to time may be reasonably required. What we’re looking for: As an Apprentice employee for Cormac you will have a passion for engineering. You will be committed to completing a level 2 Engineering apprenticeship and continuing your personal development. You will have a positive outlook and enjoy working and passionate about engineering. You will be trustworthy, dependable and work well in a team. You will be able to communicate well with your team, your employers, tutors and the public. You will be safety conscious, have a strong awareness of the health and safety of both yourself and others. You will be resilient, adaptable and keen to learn and complete your apprenticeship. The ability to travel locally and work at different locations. A full UK Driving Licence or provisional licence with the ability to achieve your full driving licence within the first 12 months.
