Financial Analyst II, Accountant, Senior Product Manager, Program Manager, Transportation Finance AP
This position will be responsible for a process within Accounts Payable Operations including managing workload and establishing priorities; ensuring existing policies and procedures are followed; creating and monitoring appropriate performance metrics. The successful candidate will have a strong desire to innovate processes and exceed expectations in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, primarily driving innovation on behalf of customers/vendors.
Business Responsibilities:
1. Coordinate with internal teams to have joint collaboration for successful launch of new projects within expected timelines.
2. Work closely with finance operations team in different locations.
3. Own defining/adhering to policies related to AP and drive consistency with entities globally.
4. Solving complex customer/vendor issues and proactively heading off negative service trends.
5. Maintain weekly and monthly communications and metrics reporting with Director and VP level business partners. This includes setting up Weekly & Monthly Reviews.
Basic Qualifications:
1. Bachelors/Masters (MBA/M.Com) with 12+ years of post-qualification experience in Finance operations/Shared Services, Accounts Payable or General Ledger.
2. Past experience in AP operations is a must.
3. Strong interpersonal skills — including written and oral communication skills.
4. Problem Solving and Analytical abilities.
5. Demonstrated ability to lead diverse talent within the team, work cross-functionally, and build consensus on difficult issues.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Expertise in Six Sigma defect reduction techniques (DMAIC, etc.).
2. 4+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience.
3. 4+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience.
4. 4+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience.
5. 4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience.
6. Knowledge of Tableau.
7. Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards).
About the Team:
The Transportation process is spread across all the goes and marketplaces and provides services across the globe. Currently, FinOps is responsible for:
1. Manual invoice processing.
2. Supporting the Transportation Controllership Team (TCS) to communicate with carriers for all the upstream defects.
3. Supporting ad-hoc requests received from Business (FLEX/DSP/Relay) and TCS (EDI) for all the invoices that fail in upstream (automated process failure).
4. Performing reconciliation of open Statement of Accounts (SOA) and sharing the output with Carriers.
5. Driving process improvements.
