We are currently recruiting for a Head of Sales to join the Midlands region.
As Head of Sales, you will be responsible for developing and implementing an effective regional sales strategy, managing Business Development Managers & Internal Sales Managers, ensuring robust and consistent sales processes, and leading those processes to motivate the sales team to deliver maximum revenue.
This role requires an experienced and successful sales leader who can demonstrate passion, confidence, credibility, and focus in leading their teams.
You need proven success in managing regional sales teams, experience in influencing and building relationships with senior management, strong analytical skills, and the ability to translate strategic vision into practical action.

Responsibilities include:
1. Developing and maintaining customer relationships to win business for Nationwide Platforms.
2. Identifying and pursuing opportunities for new lines of business, including new growth sectors and customers, aligned with the business development strategy.
3. Contributing to the team’s budget process.
4. Managing a team of sector specialists, utilizing measurement tools to ensure performance improvement.
5. Overseeing the regional sales team in managing key accounts.
6. Acting as the liaison between the UK Business Unit and BlueSky, addressing delivery, new product, supply, and related issues.
7. Negotiating and managing contracts at all levels for mutual benefit.
8. Collaborating with other Nationwide Platforms functions to support business development.
9. Managing the risk of key accounts.
Ideal candidate will have:
* Extensive experience in strategic sales management within a plant and/or equipment hire environment.
* Excellent analytical skills and data-driven decision-making ability.
* Strong prioritization and deadline management skills.
* Effective communication skills for delivering messages professionally at all levels.
