<div><p><b>Payroll Services Officer</b><br/><b>Location:</b> Nottingham (Hybrid Working - 60% Office / 40% Home Working)<br/><b>Pay Rate:</b>£16.65 per hour<br/><b>Hours:</b> Part-Time, 22.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday)<br/><b>Working Pattern:</b> Ideally 9:30am - 3:30pm<br/><b>Contract:</b> Temporary assignment until March 2027<br/><b>Benefits:</b> Weekly pay</p><p><b>Our Public Sector Client, HM Land Registry, is seeking a Payroll Services Officer to join their team in Nottingham.</b></p><p>This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced payroll professional or a highly organised administrator with strong attention to detail to support the delivery of payroll services within a large public sector organisation.</p><p>Working closely with the Payroll Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring payroll processes are completed accurately, efficiently and in line with organisational requirements.</p><h3>The Role</h3><p>As a Payroll Services Officer, you will support the delivery of payroll operations, monitor service quality and work collaboratively with internal stakeholders and external payroll providers to ensure a high standard of service is maintained.</p><h3>Key Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Support the Payroll Manager with the day‑to‑day delivery of payroll services.</li><li>Monitor the performance of the outsourced payroll provider and ensure service standards are met.</li><li>Assist with monthly payroll reconciliations, including payments to HMRC, Civil Service Pensions and third‑party providers.</li><li>Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies with the outsourced payroll provider.</li><li>Carry out checks to ensure payroll submissions are accurate and compliant.</li><li>Support the continuous improvement of payroll processes and procedures.</li><li>Maintain accurate payroll records and documentation.</li><li>Create and update payroll guidance and training materials.</li><li>Develop a good understanding of HR Fusion and its interaction with payroll systems.</li><li>Ensure all payroll activities are completed accurately and within required timescales.</li></ul><h3>What Were Looking For</h3><p>The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:</p><ul><li>Excellent accuracy and attention to detail.</li><li>Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage workloads effectively.</li><li>The ability to deliver work at pace while maintaining a high level of accuracy.</li><li>Strong communication and problem‑solving skills.</li><li>Confidence working with payroll systems and Microsoft Office applications.</li><li>Previous experience working within a payroll position is desirable.</li><li>The ability to build effective working relationships with colleagues, stakeholders and external providers.</li></ul><h3>Whats on Offer?</h3><ul><li>£16.65 per hour.</li><li>Weekly pay.</li><li>Hybrid working arrangement (60% office‑based, 40% home working).</li><li>Part‑time working pattern of 22.5 hours per week, ideally 9:30am - 3:30pm.</li><li>Temporary assignment with an initial end date of March 2027.</li><li>Opportunity to gain valuable experience within a respected public sector organisation.</li></ul><p>If you have payroll experience and are looking for a flexible part‑time opportunity where accuracy and attention to detail are key, wed love to hear from you.</p><p>Brook Street is proud to support the Armed Forces Covenant and as such, we guarantee to interview all candidates who are veterans or spouses/partners of military personnel, and who meet all the essential criteria for the vacancy.</p><p>As a Disability Confident Leader, and holder of the Gold Award status from the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme, Brook Street, as a supplier to the Public Sector Resourcing Framework (PSR), will offer you a guaranteed interview with a PSR Sourcer.</p><p>Should you identify as a candidate with a disability and/or as a veteran or spouse/partner of military personnel and meet all the essential criteria for the role, we encourage you to reach out to us via the Brook Street website.
