Interim AWS Security Architect - Financial Services
Robert Half is recruiting on behalf of a global consulting firm for an experienced AWS Security Architect to become an associate for a global consulting firm on a large-scale cloud security programme for a major financial services organisation. The focus is on designing, building, and securing AWS applications, container platforms, and cloud network infrastructure in direct collaboration with AWS.
Key Details:
1. Start: ASAP (c. 2-week lead time for onboarding and paperwork)
2. Location: Remote but may need a day flexibility in City of London
3. Duration: 12-month contract strong likelihood of extension
4. Rate: £600.00 p/day via PAYE (PLUS 12.07% accrued holiday pay) via PAYE with employer's NI & tax deducted at source - no umbrella company admin fees
Requirements:
5. Must have experience working in financial services, ideally banking
6. Deep experience in designing, building, and securing applications in AWS as a core role focus (not generalist cloud security)
7. Expertise in container platform security, including EKS and use of service mesh
8. Strong cloud network security background covering firewalling, network segmentation, VPC design, and Direct Connect
9. Proven ability to represent clients in direct collaboration with AWS as a supplier, providing independent security assurance
Preferred:
10. AWS experience in high-performance or low-latency/trading solutions
11. Exposure to AWS Outposts design and security
