We are looking for a hands-on Reliability Technician to join our Waste Water Recycling team and play a key role in maintaining and enhancing the performance of our treatment processes. You will be working within the Proactive Improvement & Maintenance Team, established to create a new in-house capability that proactively prevents pollution and improves the health of our pump station assets in line with asset standards.
You will cover the East region (Leicester, Nottingham & Scunthorpe) and will work 37 hours per week, Monday – Friday with on-call responsibilities.
Responsibilities
* Conduct condition monitoring and data collection (vibration, oil analysis, etc.)
* Perform motor/pump alignments using laser alignment tools
* Support predictive and preventive maintenance programs
* Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control issues
* Assist with root cause analysis and failure investigations
* Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to improve asset reliability
* Maintain accurate records using SAP and Salesforce
* Support continuous improvement initiatives across the business
The team will focus on asset improvements at sites, such as adding generator connection points, auto restarts, improving pumping controls, pressure monitors, over-pumping connections, and installing upgraded pumps and pipework, in collaboration with existing operational teams across Waste Water Recycling.
Qualifications and Experience
* Experience in proactive maintenance and fault diagnostics
* Strong background with industrial equipment (gearboxes, pumps, hydraulics)
* Understanding of control systems and mechanical installation standards
* Comfortable using IT systems and data analysis tools
* Minimum BTEC/NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
* Desirable: Certification in vibration/electrical signature analysis (CAT I or II), IOSH Health & Safety, Lean Management
* A valid UK driving licence (regional travel may be required)
