New Directions are looking for an outstanding PE teacher to work in one of our partner Secondary Schools in Longsight. The role is a full time long term role starting in January 2026 covering a maternity.
The Role:
1. Deliver engaging and innovative lessons in PE
2. Teach across Key Stages 3 and 4
3. Contribute to curriculum planning, assessment, and departmental development
4. Support the school’s vision and values, and foster a positive learning environment
As a PE Teacher you’ll be expected to:
5. Hold a PGCE and UK QTS (or QTLS)
6. Plan, prepare and teach lessons that cater for all student ability ranges.
7. Manage behaviour
8. Build relationships with students
9. Promote an active lifestyle
10. Have a passion for teaching secondary PE
