Acoustic Logging is an important part of our Active Leakage Control activity, helping us to continuously reduce leakage levels and quickly respond to leak alarms when leaks break out.

The Logging Technician will be working with our Acoustic Logging Analysts and Acoustic Leakage Manager, helping to maintain our fleet of 20,000 Permanent loggers that form our Fixed Logging Network. We are currently looking at opportunities to invest further in fixed networks so there is potential that the range of equipment and size of the fleet may expand.

The role is likely to develop over the next few years as Technology and Logger capability improves, so you will need to be open minded and have a flexible approach. You will be issued work which will involve travelling around the Company area and will include moving loggers to new locations, fault finding and general maintenance.

What you'll be doing:

* Carry out and complete maintenance checks on the Permanent loggers within the DMAs across the company area.
* Install and remove Permanent loggers to improve the coverage of Permanent logging network.
* Review and ensure, the set up and deployment of the permanent loggers meet the company requirements.
* Use of HWM software – IDT, Permanent Web, Deployment app
* Communicate with the Permanent team and inform them of any changes via Microsoft forms.
* Ensure safe working practices are being followed and all hazards are reported daily as they occur.
* Flexibility to work out of hours to complete maintenance works that cannot otherwise be safely carried out.

What you need:

* Full driving licence
* Map reading capability
* Able to identify fittings on the Water Network
* Willingness to work up to 2-night shifts per month
* Good verbal and written communication skills, and an ability to liaise with internal and external Customers
