Position Overview
The Head of the Value Realisation Office (VRO) is responsible for ensuring that the program delivers its intended business value and outcomes, maintaining assurance across contractual, financial, operational, and organizational dimensions. This role drives governance, transparency, and performance accountability across the program, ensuring alignment to strategic objectives and value commitments for both parties.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Leadership
* Establish and lead the Value Realisation Office as the central assurance and performance management function.
* Define and implement the value realisation framework and governance model for the program.
* Partner with senior executives, sponsors, and delivery leads to track business outcomes and program performance.
* Ensure the business case is maintained, validated, and realised throughout the program lifecycle.
2. Performance & Financial Management
* Oversee contractual, financial, and operational performance management.
* Track program KPIs, SLAs, and commercial performance metrics.
* Provide regular executive reporting on value delivery, risks, and optimisation opportunities.
* Ensure accurate billing, reconciliation, and budget management.
3. Quality, Risk & Compliance
* Lead quality assurance processes, including quality gating and compliance auditing.
* Ensure adherence to engineering and security standards, regulatory obligations, and contractual commitments.
* Oversee issue resolution and interdependency management at program level.
4. Organisational Change Management
* Drive cultural alignment and adoption of new ways of working.
* Oversee skill and competency mapping and capability uplift.
* Support transition and integration across business units.
5. Resource & Capability Management
* Ensure resource demand and fulfilment aligns with program forecast.
* Manage ongoing resource governance post-transition.
* Lead the VMO2 Academy initiatives for capability development and knowledge sharing.
6. Communications & Stakeholder Engagement
* Oversee program-wide communications, ensuring transparency and alignment.
* Lead engagement through newsletters, town halls, and community forums.
* Act as the key liaison between client, delivery, and internal governance teams.

* Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
* Deep understanding of large-scale program management and commercial governance.
* Financial acumen and experience with business case management.
* Experience in change management and cultural transformation.
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
* Ability to operate in a matrixed, multi-party environment.
Qualifications and Experience
* 15+ years of experience in program management, PMO leadership, or business assurance.
* Proven experience in value realisation or benefits management in large transformation programs.
* Strong knowledge of contractual and commercial management.
* Certifications preferred: MSP, MoP, PMP, or equivalent.
