Location
Covering sites across the South West region – postcodes GU, PO, SO, RG and SP. Base office location is Salisbury; occasional travel to site required.
Salary
£41,192 – £43,360 per year (starting at £41,192, rising to £43,360 after 12 months with satisfactory performance).
Working Hours
40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 16:30.
Job Summary
We are recruiting an Electrician to join our Response team in the South West. Duties include carrying out responsive electrical repairs and electrical works in void properties, completing electrical installation condition reports (EICR). The role involves lone and team working and requires participation in an emergency call‑out rota. A company van and power tools will be provided for business use along with training as needed.
Responsibilities
* Maintain electrical installations and replacements in tenanted and void properties, from changing faulty light fittings or sockets to partial/full rewires and CCU upgrades.
* Inspect and test occupied and void properties, ensuring safety and compliance.
* Complete all paperwork and produce certification associated with works undertaken.
* Monitor and maintain van stock to achieve a first‑time fix and keep tools and equipment in suitable condition.
Qualifications and Skills
* Qualified to 18th Edition – 3rd and 4th amendment, NVQ Level 3 in core electrics, City & Guilds 2391‑52, AM2, or currently undertaking the qualification. Must bring original certification during interview; copies and CSCS cards will not be accepted.
* Working knowledge of the application of Health and Safety legislation.
* Analyze and diagnose problems and implement effective solutions.
* Demonstrate good communication and interpersonal skills with a customer‑focused approach.
* Hold a full valid UK driving licence to drive company vehicle.
