This is an opportunity to join one of the UK's market-leading Construction team of a top tier national law firm.
Role Profile:
\t
* You will work as part of a high-ranking team and the role will be based in Edinburgh.
\t
* The team advise on every aspect of Construction Law across all sectors of the industry, both contentious and non-contentious. The work of the group is hugely varied and includes buildings, civil and process plant engineering, energy, infrastructure and utilities - across both private and public sectors.
\t
* The team also provide project support and advice to the wider Real Estate, Banking and Projects teams.
\t
* The firm are looking to hire a Construction lawyer to join their Edinburgh based team to work on a variety of construction matters (which may includes construction, projects or environment).
\t
* This is a high performing, cohesive and busy team with a strong reputation for providing associates with early levels of responsibility within a supportive and stretching environment and therefore you can expect to take a leading role on some matters.
\t

\t
* .Candidates will have a good grounding in construction law (contentious and/or non-contentious), which should include building work, preferably with process plant, energy and utility and/or infrastructure experience.
Candidate Requirements:
\t
* Circa 2+ PQE experience in non contentious construction law, ideally set in construction or projects and gained within a comparable environment and at an appropriate level.
\t
* You will have experience of drafting a variety of construction documents and experience of JCT contracts (or other standard forms such as NEC3).
\t
* You will have ability to contribute to the general upkeep of the group (whether that be to training, precedents, or know-how generally).
\t
* You will possess the ability to actively support complex transactions, liaising and coordinating with fee earners from other relevant disciplines as needed.
