Payroll Administrator
Location: Orsett (Office-based)
Contract: Temporary – 6 months initially (potential extension)
Hours: Full-time, Monday–Friday, 09:00–17:30
Rate: £15–£20 per hour
💡 The Role
This is a hands-on Payroll Administrator position supporting accurate and timely payroll delivery in a fast-paced environment. The role focuses on data accuracy, Excel-based reporting, and day-to-day payroll administration, alongside wider HR support
📌 Key Responsibilities

Input and maintain accurate payroll data
*
Process salaries, overtime, holiday pay, allowances and deductions
*
Use Excel for payroll validation, reporting and data analysis
*
Review payroll data and resolve discrepancies prior to submission
*
Support payroll reconciliations and reporting
*
Act as first point of contact for payroll-related queries
*
Maintain strict confidentiality of employee and payroll data
*
Support wider administration, including HR and absence trackers
*
Work to tight payroll deadlines
👤 The Ideal Candidate
*
Previous experience in payroll administration or payroll-focused role
*
Strong Excel skills (formulas, data manipulation and analysis)
*
Good understanding of payroll processes and statutory deductions
*
High attention to detail and accuracy
*
Confident communicator with strong organisational skills
*
Able to juggle priorities and work under pressure
