Job Description:
Fidarsi is partnering with a reputable HR team within an established Wealth Manager to recruit a Training and Competency Manager.
This role involves supporting the HR team by overseeing the training and competency department.
Duties include:
* Implement and oversee an effective Training & Competency (T&C) Scheme
* Ensure employees have the tools to meet role requirements through proactive training support
* Ensure investment managers hold appropriate qualifications for advising on specific asset classes
* Maintain CPD records and SPS renewals, liaising with relevant bodies and managers
* Manage relationships with training providers for in-house training, CPD events, exams, and courses
* Collaborate with HR, Compliance, and Suitability teams to maintain regulatory records
* Prepare and deliver annual competency assessments for investment managers
* Conduct regulatory referencing, onboarding, and rescreening checks
* Assist with annual appraisals for non-investment staff
* Coordinate new starter induction programmes
* Manage internal and external online training programmes
* Provide T&C Management Information for committee escalation
* Train team members to cover absences
* Undertake ad hoc projects as required
* Manage annual appraisals with the SMCR panel for staff certification
* Organise and review annual FIT processes
* Track compliance with mandatory and optional training and assessments
* Recruit and interview candidates, collaborating with managers
* Foster a coaching culture
* Design blended learning solutions and various training interventions
* Implement talent management and promotional criteria
* Conduct workforce gap analyses
* Stay updated on regulatory changes
* Maintain HRIS data accuracy
* Organise FCA training compliance
* Facilitate face-to-face classroom training
Experience and skills required:
* Ability to manage inter-departmental relationships and influence positive change
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
* Knowledge of FCA regulations including TC, SYSC, COBs, APER, and FIT
* Previous experience in a similar role
